a lil'bit about me

​

Jolene found yoga while living in New York City. Yoga provided the balance and grounding needed to offset the busy city lifestyle, a severe back injury and a professional career characterized by competition, ego and stress. Jolene has now made the full transition from collegial competitive athlete, to successful retail/operations executive to now Full-time Yoga Teacher and Holistic Health Counselor.  Jolene focuses on developing positive energy and her classes are structured around release, relaxation and rejuvenation of the body, mind and spirit.

Jolene has been practicing yoga for over 25 years with a vinyasa foundation and brings this energy to the variety of classes she teaches. Jolene is also a Certified Holistic Health Counselor. She attended and graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City building on her B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science.

Jolene is an E-RYT (experienced registered yoga teacher through yoga alliance), teaching for 15 years with 2000+ hours of training. Her training consists of, 200-hour Holistic Teacher Training from Pure Prana Yoga Studio, 300-hour Certified Jivamukti Teacher Training and PRYT Prenatal Registered Yoga Teacher Alliance with 60-hour Prenatal Teacher Training from Golden Bridge Yoga Center in Los Angeles (kundalini based), 20-hours through Ma Yoga (vinyasa based), and over 150-hours of certified training in Yoga for Depression, Anxiety and Therapeutics, 200-hours Heart of Sound TT and more. In addition to the trainings, she has attended workshops and two stints in India studying to continue her education and delve deeper into her practice.
